  1. Have you thought of adding a picture of the section you are transcribing? Others could possibly help you out when you can’t read a word. 🙂

Without a doubt, I’ve wanted to try to scan every page, post it and insert the transcription right below it. The problem is the age of the little book. I’m afraid I’d damage the spine by trying to lay it flat in the scanner. The silk ribbon boookmark has already separated itself and now just lays in one of the pages.

I’ve just downloaded an APP called “GENIUS SCAN” to my smartphone and I’m playing around with the seetings and trying to get used to how it works. Seems to be a winner! So….you’ve been reading my mind again!! It’s a great suggestion and I’m working on it. The problem as you know, is the Regoli assigment is due Tuesday!!!

I tried the “Genius Scan” app on the page for Feb 11th. It seems to work pretty well. The functionality of the app is well hidden!! My first attempts on the diary itself were a little frustrating…backward and upside down images; saving as a PDF rather than a JPG; cropping (it has a wierd way of cropping!); choosing color, b&w or no enhancements; where does it go when you’re done??? At any rate, I think the one I posted for tomorrow (I posted it already) looks acceptable. Your thoughts?
